[ With things somewhat more stable and settled, James decides to finally make good on the plans discussed with Diana about procuring a building for business. Equipped with the gear he arrived in, including a Martian pistol at his hip, the Earther treks outside of the hotel to begin assessing what's available. When the fog forced him to be stuck in the 'Burbs, James had ventured about to get a lay of the land and thought he might have seen something worth acquiring, or in the very least, a location worth securing. ]

Your brother wouldn't be Dean, would he?

No, I, uh, I know Bela.

[ He tries not to blush at saying her name, but James is a little nervous since they're from the same place. And he's casually dating and sleeping with her. ]

You mean in your timeline?

[ Yeah, it's still weird saying that, thinking that.

James can't help but chuckle while he shakes his head.

I did the furthest thing from it, maybe? I had a crew and a repurposed Martian warship that we rechristened The Rocinante back home. I'm from the twenty-fourth century; name's James Holden.

[ He omits the distance between them with an extended hand. ]
